Pricing & Fees

The standard security deposit is $500 up to one month's rent, depending on your screening report. It's a one-time cost, and your leasing team can walk you through exactly what to expect.

The building is cable-ready and supports multiple high-speed internet providers available in Washington, DC. You're not locked into a single option, so you can choose the provider and plan that works best for you.

Rent can be paid online through the resident portal; it's secure, straightforward, and available anytime. The leasing office can help you get set up if you have any questions about the process.

Tours and Visits

You can request an in-person or live-video tour through the website or by contacting the leasing office. Visits are welcome based on availability, but scheduling ahead is always a good idea to make sure someone is available to show you around properly.

Application and Leasing

Applications can be submitted online through the property website or in person at the leasing office. The online process is quick and straightforward: Just check the availability of your desired floor plan and click “apply”, then follow the instructions to complete your application.

Yes, a fee is charged per applicant to cover background and credit screening. Contact our leasing office for the current fee amount.

Please be prepared to provide the following:

• Current government-issued photo ID

• Proof of income (pay stubs, offer letter, or bank statements)

• Employment verification or employer contact information

• Rental history and landlord contact information

Yes, Connecticut Gardens is a pet-friendly community. We allow up to two pets per apartment, including both cats and dogs.

Move-In and Move-Out Support

Move-in costs typically include your first month's rent and security deposit. Our leasing team will provide a full, transparent breakdown of all upfront costs in your lease documents before you sign.

We want to make you feel at home and to make your place your own, but some restrictions apply. Before painting, hanging items, or making any modifications, check your lease agreement or ask management. We're happy to clarify what's allowed. Keep in mind, it is essential that your home is returned in the same condition it was received.

Early termination fees and policies are outlined in your lease. If you find yourself in that situation, contact management to understand your options.

Your lease will specify the required advance notice of 60 days in writing. At move-out, we'll conduct a walkthrough of your apartment and provide a checklist ahead of time to help you maximize your deposit return.

Under DC law, landlords are required to return security deposits within 45 days of the lease end date, along with an itemized statement of any deductions. Leaving your apartment in good condition and providing your forwarding address are the two most important things you can do to speed things along.

Maintenance and Requests

Log in to the resident portal to submit a maintenance request at any time. You can also contact the management office during business hours.

Our team works to address routine requests as quickly as possible. Emergency maintenance is available 24/7, so you're covered no matter when something comes up.

Community and Lifestyle

Yes. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 pm - 7 am to ensure all residents feel comfortable and at home here.

Connecticut Gardens residents are in good hands when it comes to schools. The community is zoned for these DC Public Schools:

  • Oyster-Adams Bilingual School (PK4–8, serves as both elementary and middle)

  • Jackson-Reed High School (9–12)

If you’re interested in public charter options, the My School DC lottery covers all grade levels across the District. No K-12 public charter school was confirmed within one mile of the property.

And if higher education is part of the picture, you'll have these options within two miles:

  • Howard University (approx. 1.5 miles)

  • Johns Hopkins SAIS (approx. 1.1 miles)

The George Washington University's Foggy Bottom campus is just over two miles away.

Connecticut Gardens is located in one of the city's most storied addresses.
